What’s a learning workshop?
A learning workshop is somewhere you go to learn and actively participate in what’s being taught by receiving personalized attention, asking questions and engaging in the material presented in a way that creates the best retention for the experience.

Does this mean I’m going to be working out?
No. This is not a bootcamp designed to push you to your limits. You will be learning how to safely perform 5 kettlebell exercises and 5 Indian club movements to help take your strength, cardio, fat loss, and joint mobility to the next level. These ten movements were chosen because almost anyone can do them. If something is not comfortable or doesn’t feel right, you can just watch and learn!

What’s a kettlebell?
A kettlebell is a cast iron or steel weight shaped like a cannon ball with a handle on top. Originating in Russia, hundreds of years ago, the kettlebell was once used as a standard unit of measuring weight in the market place. Later, the kettlebell was used in strongman competitions and also became a standard conditioning tool for Russian military, due to it's undeniable benefits. Evidence is also showing monks of the Shao-Lin dynasty used Chinese padlocks (a very primitive form of Kettlebell) for strength, conditioning, endurance and energy flow. Kettlebells can also be used in various ways for general fitness and their popularity continues to grow at an astonishing rate --from Kim Kardashian to Lance Armstrong, kettlebells are part of their fitness routines. Our workshop will use 8KG bells (about 18 pounds) to get participants familiar with the movement. If you can pick up an infant, you will be able to work these bells!

Indian_clubWhat are Indian Clubs?
Originally used by Indian and Persian warriors thousands of years ago, and once an olynpic event, Indian club swinging is now regaining popularity in North America. Brought to Europe from India and then from Europe to the United States in the 1800's, the clubs were used in physical education classes until around 1920. Indian clubs look like thin bowling pins and have most of the weight at one end. They are one of the greatest tools for injury prevention and mantaining optimal mobility in the shoulder complex.

Why do athletes do this type of movement and follow this kind of eating?
Athletes need cutting edge training to achieve success at such a high levels of competition. Both professional and amateur athletes have been recently discovering greater results and better carry over into their respective sports by working their bodies as one unit instead of isolating certain muscles during training. Following the principles of the Survival Code to maximize their results, this allows athletes to deploy the power of their bodies in a predictable, sustainable and healthy way.

How can I do the same thing elite athletes are doing?
The techniques we are teaching are simple, easy and effective and it’s up to you decide how it makes the best sense to incoporate them into your life. An Olympic athlete may follow Ori’s approach 100% and do a 30 minute routine with Jason’s techniques; whereas you may do a 10-15 min workout with 1 minute breaks between sets and gradually transition your diet to a more optimal way of eating. Bettering your health and wellness is a progressive journey and doesn’t happen overnight. Listen to your body and do what works best for you! The purpose of this workshop is to teach you how to unlock your survival code and introduce you to basic body movements that will sustain your body as you age and make you the healthiest "you" possible. The Survival Code is based on human survival science. The principles of the Survival Code offer true benchmarks and guidelines that leave no place for speculation or confusion.
